Hello and welcome to the live commentary of the Serie A contest between AC Milan and Sassuolo at San Siro.
Milan are in dire need of a result to improve their form that has been incredibly poor since the return of Italian football from the World Cup break. The Rossoneri have won only one of their last six matches in all competitions, and were hammered last time out 4-0 against Lazio. Stefano Pioli's men have fallen well off the pace in the title race and are now in a battle to remain in the top four. They need to start turning their form around today.
Sassuolo are on run of eight matches in Serie A without a win and are dangerously close to the relegation zone. Their last league win came against Verona in October, raising the pressure on Alessio Dionisi in the dugout. They ended a four-match losing run last time out against Monza, earning a share of the spoils on the road. Sassuolo need to be better today to try to edge their way away from the botom three.
